WAITING LIST GUIDELINES FOR 
PUBLIC HOUSING FAMILY UNITS

Certain income limits apply to specific housing programs. These are used to determine eligibility of families at the time the family applies and again before being housed. If you have questions about income eligibility, please consult IHC staff.

Innovative Housing Concepts has an equal preference for working and disabled families. Employment will be verified by a third party at the time an applicant reaches the top of the waiting list. A working family is defined as a family in which the head of household and/or spouse of head of household is working at the time of application AND has had six consecutive months of full-time employment. Gaps between different employers of one week or less during the six-month period are acceptable for preference qualification. Full-time employment is defined as 35 hours or more per week.

Waiting lists are closed for the Orchard Place and Simon Center one-bedroom apartments. The waiting list for one-bedroom units (non-wheelchair acceptable) at Orchard Place will be open from July 16th, 2018, to July 20th, 2018.Wheelchair accessible units are located only at Orchard Place. The units at Simon Center are not wheelchair accessible. These units have an preference for the elderly and disabled.
