Housing Assistance Programs

Innovative Housing Concepts offers several housing programs that enable lower-income residents of any community to rent affordable, safe and sanitary housing. The United States Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) provides Innovatice Housing Concepts with federal funds to administer these programs in their areas.

Simon Center

Family Public Housing Duplexes

Orchard Place is a seven-story high-rise building with 100 one-bedroom units. The building is a mixed property that serves elderly families age 62 and over, and families with disabilities of any age equally in accordance with HUD regulations.  
Simon Center is a seven-story high-rise building with 104 one-bedroom units. The building has a preference for elderly & adult disabled residents. Simon Center is located one-half block from a central RTD bus line and across the street from the Malley Center senior recreation center.
Family public housing consists of 10 duplex units in five buildings that are scattered throughout the Englewood city limits. These units are two, three and four bedroom dwellings.

Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher Program

The Section 8 HCV Program provides housing subsidy for qualified applicants who locate rental units in the private market with participating landlords. Under this program, the applicant pays approximately 30 percent of his/her adjusted income for rent and utilities, and the housing authority pays the balance of the fair market rent to the private landlord. Non-resident tenants in this program are required to live in Englewood for the first twelve months of their participation.
